Bloomsburg University Student Statement of Understanding - Spring 2021

Important Details:

  • The Statement of Understanding (SOU) must be accepted by completing the task in MyHusky.
  • ALL students must accept this SOU even if they are not required to take the COVID test.

Bloomsburg University remains committed to delivering an exemplary education for our students. As we continue to monitor the guidance of health and safety officials, we have created a student Statement of Understanding that requires your attention. These requirements will provide the safest and most successful pathway to a complete campus experience for all students during the spring semester.

The University has invested in and will implement minimally invasive rapid COVID-19 testing (15-minute results) for all on- and off-campus students free of charge. Testing will be administered before the start of the spring semester, and random testing will continue throughout the semester.

All University students must complete the acceptance agreement below.

As a Bloomsburg University student enrolled for the spring 2021 semester, I agree to the following:

  • Completing a mandatory University administered COVID test prior to campus move-in (on-campus students) or if a member of a University athletic team.
  • Completing a mandatory University administered COVID test(s) if living off-campus or a commuter student, if accessing on-campus facilities, including Recreation Center, Andruss Library, and Kehr Union Building.
  • Off-campus students who are NOT planning to access campus during the Spring 2021 semester do not need to comply with mandatory COVID testing. If that status changes and I need access to campus buildings and resources, I will complete campus testing as required.  Student fees will still be charged because services will be available and delivered through a hybrid of traditional in-person and online services.  A valuable student experience will continue to be available and provided in exchange for the fees charged whether on-campus or online.
  • Wearing a mask (covering your nose and mouth) in 100% compliance with mask guidelines that cover University campus and grounds.
  • Maintaining appropriate physical distancing of at least 6 feet from others.
  • Washing hands regularly.
  • Required isolation or quarantine if ill or exposed to COVID-19 as identified by the University Health Center.

I agree to comply with the safety requirements above while enrolled as a student for the spring 2021 academic semester. Failure to accept these safety practices will not exempt my obligations for the payment of student fees, and will restrict my ability to further access MyHusky, including access to BOLT and Zoom. Violations of the campus safety requirements will subject me to the Student Code of Conduct.
