Transfer Student Orientation

Transfer Student Orientation

Welcome to Bloomsburg University and the Husky Family! To ease your transition to BU, the Orientation Office invites you to complete a required online orientation experience called T.O.U.R. (Transfer Online University Readiness). T.O.U.R. will be accessible via your B.O.L.T. (Bloomsburg Online Learning Technology) account starting July 1, 2016. B.O.L.T. can be accessed here, but not prior to July 1, 2016 so please do not attempt to access the service prior to that date. T.O.U.R. is a required orientation. Failure to complete T.O.U.R. will result in a hold being placed on your account.

If you or your family would prefer an in-person orientation experience, you are welcome to attend a BU Preview day! BU Preview days offer are a perfect opportunity for new students and their families to meet faculty and current students, get a closer look at our scenic campus and learn about the activities and support services available to students.

For your convenience, Bloomsburg offers six different BU Preview dates to choose from:

  • June 20-22, 2016
  • July 11-13, 2016

Although attendance at an in-person orientation is not required by the Orientation Office, there are some academic departments that prefer transfer students do attend an in-person orientation. In such cases, please follow the instructions of your academic department.

Online registration for BU Preview Days is available here. (Note: if your academic department requires you to attend and in-person orientation, please register in advance so we are prepared for your arrival).
A tentative schedule of events for the in-person experience is available here.

Although the student meal is complimentary, if any guests plan to accompany you to the in-person orientation, please encourage them to pre-pay for their lunch. Pre-paying allows your guests to bypass the long wait times at the dining hall. Lunch tickets can be purchased in advanced here. Pre-payment of lunch is non-refundable.
