major set for fall
Please check your major to ensure there is an available spot and you're meeting any program-specific deadlines, as several of our majors are highly competitive. This is especially true for our CCNE-accredited nursing program, which requires applications to be received by Nov. 15 prior to next fall semester. Decisions are not made on a rolling basis for nursing, unlike the vast majority of our undergraduate programs.
Additionally, there are several highly competitive majors for transfer applicants. Please apply early for best consideration. Good luck. We look forward to your application!
It’s no secret technology is constantly changing and often at a rapid pace. So is the world of mass communications, particularly media. And now Bloomsburg University’s mass communications program is set up to align students with both through its new emergent media track, which also includes an option for a minor.
“We want (students) to have experiences that simulate working in the mass communications industry,” said David Magolis, associate professor of mass communications. “These hands-on experiences teach students invaluable skills ... skills hiring managers expect from our graduates, and are skills we incorporate into the curriculum so our students are prepared for internships and jobs.”
Each year, Bloomsburg University admissions counselors visit almost 400 high schools throughout the region, as well as Delaware, Maryland, New York and New Jersey. In addition, we attend many college fairs in high schools and community colleges.
Find out which counselor will visit your school. We look forward to meeting you! If your school is not listed, please contact any one of our counselors who will gladly answer your questions and help you learn more about why we're "A great place to be you!"
Our admissions process
» Applications received by Dec. 1 will get priority consideration, especially for our competitive majors.
» If you are interested in nursing, you need to apply by Nov. 15!
» We make decisions on a rolling basis (except nursing). Once your application is completed, it will take up to six weeks to receive a decision. We make decisions continuously until majors are full.
