Nancy Vasta

Vasta, of Holland, is a magna cum laude graduate of Bloomsburg University and holds bachelor's degrees in secondary education and history, as well as a master's degree in instructional technology. While at BU, she was a member of two honor societies, Phi Alpha Theta and Kappa Delta Pi, and served as president of the History Club.

Vasta has been employed since 1999 by Cigna HealthCare, where today she is the vice president and senior director of consumer health engagement. Currently, she is leading the development and implementation of Cigna’s Consumer Health Engagement Strategy focused on redefining how consumers engage with their health in an evolving delivery system. Prior to this role, her career at Cigna included working as an eHealth product and marketing manager, manager of human resource services, and learning manager.

Vasta’s contributions to BU include serving as a member of the Zeigler College of Business Advisory Board and Corporate Advisory Council, and chairing the annual fundraising effort which resulted in over $1 million in donations for student scholarships and programming. She is an in-demand industry expert and guest lecturer for the healthcare management program at Marymount University. She has presented at the World Health Congress, the Institute for HealthCare Consumerism and the Healthcare Analyst Conference. Vasta was appointed to Council of Trustees in June 2009.
