General Wireless Network Settings

If you tried to connect to the wireless network following the instructions on the main wireless support page and the SecureW2 "JoinNow" client was unable to configure your operating system or mobile device successfully, you may need to manually configure your device. Still, it should be pretty straightforward to set up your wireless connection assuming your device supports 802.11a/g/n and WPA2-Enterprise connections. The settings you need to configure your wireless connection for the network bloomu-secure are:

bloomu-secure [network name/ssid]
WPA2-Enterprise
AES
Protected EAP (PEAP)
EAP-MSCHAP v2
DigiCert Global Root CA
When authenticating, use your username/HuskyID and password, but do not specify a domain (leave blank).

Faculty and Staff Only: Once you connect to the "bloomu-secure" network by authenticating successfully, you should be ready to use the campus network and internet. Go ahead and load up your web browser to test the connection.

Students: All BU students are required to register their computer prior to gaining access to our network. You will not gain access to the campus network until all steps of the registration process are accomplished and your computer is found to be compliant with the University's network standards. Once you connect to the "bloomu-secure" network by authenticating successfully, when you attempt to load a non-secure web page (i.e. http://weather.com/ ) in your web browser, you will be redirected to the registration site. Follow the on-screen instructions.
