Avinash Srinivasan, assistant professor of computer forensics
Avinash Srinivasan was appointed associate editor of Security and Communication Networks, an international journal published by Wiley and Sons. He was also been appointed the Posters and Demo co-chair of IEEE International Conference on Computer Communications for 2011.
May - Avinash Srinivasan, assistant professor of mathematics, computer science and statistics (computer forensics), served on external review board of four international journals, and on technical program committees of six international conferences and workshops. Srinivasan also served as the student research symposium coordinator for the 15th Annual IEEE International Conference on High Performance Computing held in Bangalore, India in December, 2008. He gave an invited talk at Sri Sathya Sai University at Prashanthi Nilayam, India, titled "Computer Forensics: A New Education Major and Career Path."
While visiting India, Srinivasan met with Dr. M. K. Nagaraj, the Inspector General of Police for the state of Karnataka who currently serves as the Chief of Anti Terrorist Cell (ATC) and discussed several digital forensics research challenges and several opportunities for Bloomsburg University to collaborate with ATC, Karnat.
October — Srinivasan was featured in “Marquis Who’s Who in America 64th Edition 2010” and recently published a research paper, “A Novel Connected Dominating Set based Secure Localization Model for WSNs” in collaboration with J. Wu, chair professor of Computer and Information Sciences at Temple University, in International Conference on Next Generation Wireless Systems (NGWS '09), held from October 12 to 14 in Melbourne, Australia.aka.
November — Srinivasan was appointed associate editor of Security and Communication Networks, an international journal published by Wiley and Sons. He was also been appointed as the Posters and Demo co-chair of IEEE International Conference on Computer Communications for 2011.
December — Srinivasan served as the Workshop Vice Chair for the International Workshop on Ubiquitous Reconfigurable Computing Platforms for Adaptive, Secure and Distributed Computing Systems in Bangalore, India.
