Membership

The Rec has membership plans and programs specifically designed for faculty and staff. Exercise, learn a new skill and bring your family to enjoy the facilities and all its services.

Faculty and staff can purchase an individual membership for $70 per semester in the Community Activities Office, Kehr Union Building, (570) 389-4463, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Make checks payable to "BU-SRC."

Faculty and staff are also eligible to purchase memberships for their spouses and/or children 16 years or older. Rec ID cards will be given to spouses once memberships have been purchased for facility access. Faculty and staff must be registered as married with the Personnel Office to purchase spouse membership. Primary affiliate must be a member in order for spouse or dependents to join.

Emerita professors, emeritus professors, retired employees and trustees are also eligible for a faculty and staff membership.

In order to purchase a membership, you must have your BU ID ISO# to gain access into the Rec. Please contact the Card Center at (570) 389-5410 if you do not have your BU ID or contact the Rec director at (570) 389-4190 if your ID is not scanning OK in our system at the front desk.

Personal Training

Why register for Personal Training at the SRC?
  •   To receive proper instruction right from the start
  •   To have a workout program developed in accordance with your personal fitness goals
  •   To prepare you for an event or sport and help you achieve more accurate results

Our personal trainers provide you the information and instruction needed to reach your health and fitness goals. You can meet one-on-one or in a group with a student trainer who will design you a personalized fitness plan. In addition, we will review your progress and level of satisfaction, and then make appropriate adjustments to help you achieve the results you want.
