ACCUPLACER Placement Testing Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Who is required to complete the test?
A: All freshmen! (summer, fall, spring), including international students.
Q: Is it a requirement to complete the test?
A: Yes. The placement test results in reading, writing and math will determine your readiness for college level work. These strengthening courses are developmental in nature and earn you the quality points for your cumulative grade point average, but do not carry college credit for graduation.
Q: If I already completed the ACCUPLACER Placement Test at another school, do I need to retake it or can I forward my test results to the office?
A: Yes. Because, Bloomsburg University may have different cut scores that determine which courses students are placed in, as opposed to other schools.
