Health Promotion Projects

Community Health Outreach title=Nursing students recently organized a health fair for Sunbury residents as a health promotion project. In their senior year, students in Public Health Nursing complete a community assessment. After a detailed statistical analysis of a community’s health disparities, groups of students work together to organize a health promotion project to benefit that community. These events address identified health problems and/or areas where the community members could benefit from health education and screenings. These services have extended into Columbia, Northumberland, Union, Snyder and even Sullivan counties in recent years.

Practicum Projects

Practicum Projects In their senior year, students in Leadership and Management choose an area of interest and independently develop a project that benefits community members or a specific population.
