Maria Teresita Mendoza-Enright, Ph.D.

Dr. Mendoza-Enright is an associate professor at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in the Department of Mass Communications. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Communications and received her Master’s in Communications at the University of Philippines. She earned another Master’s Degree in Sociology at the University of Chicago and her Doctorate in Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has attended and presented papers at various conferences and has participated in many research studies. Her research interests include Mass Media and Socialization, International Communication and Development, Comparative Media Studies, Gender and Racial Issues in the Mass Media, Folk Media, Mass Media and Politics, and Ethical Issues in the Mass Media.

Dr. Mendoza-Enright’s teaching experience has made her a specialist in a number of areas including Basic and Advanced Radio and Television Production, Broadcast Scriptwriting, Broadcast Journalism, Broadcast Research, Broadcast Programming and Management, Mass Communication Theory, Mass Media and Development, Mass Media and Human Sexuality, Media Ethics, and International Communication. She serves as the faculty adviser of the BU chapters of the National Broadcasting Society (NBS) and the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).  She also supervises InFocus, BU’s half–hour TV news magazine show and all other student-produced TV shows aired on BUTV.
