BLOOMSBURG— A panel will discuss the eating disorders of models, actresses and college students Thursday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m. at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania’s Kehr Union, Multicultural Center. The event is free and open to the public.

The speakers will include Francesca Kendris from the Center for Counseling and Human Development; Dr. Catherine O’Neil from the Student Health Center; Marika Handakas from the department of sociology, social work and criminal justice; and Adrienne Thorne, a senior nursing major from Albrightsville.

Topics such as body image, physical and psychological effects of eating disorders and methods of recovery will be discussed. The program was organized by Thorne, who is interning at the BU Women’s Resource Center. Light refreshments will be provided.
