Jazz drummer to perform with BU students

BLOOMSBURG— Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania’s Jazz Ensemble will perform with the Jae Sinnett Trio on Thursday, Sept. 28, at 7:30 p.m. in Carver Hall, Kenneth S. Gross auditorium. Sinnett will give a jazz clinic Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Haas Center for the Arts, Room 116. Both events are free and open to the public.
A drummer and composer, Sinnett has performed with some of the biggest names in jazz, including Joe Henderson and Freddie Hubbard. His 1997 album, “Listen,” was number one on the jazz radio charts. With more than 20 years of jazz performing and teaching experience, Sinnett will share his drumming concepts and musical philosophies with BU students and community members. During the clinic, he will touch on subjects such as technique, objectives, composition and improvisation. Sinnett will perform with members of the BU Jazz Ensemble, as a part of his Trio and solo.
