Students show talents in Model Arab League

BU’s Arabic Club recently participated in the Model Arab League (MAL) in Washington, D.C., which offered the students an opportunity to acquire and develop practical leadership skills related to the United States and one of the world’s most vital regions.

In the process, students learned about the social, economic, cultural and political issues facing Arab leaders and ordinary citizens.

BU’s delegates, who represented the Arab Republic of Egypt were: Ryan Alichwer, Amanda Bohlin, Robert Compton, Eric Jones, Veronica Laudermilch, Robert Nixon, Victoria Vanek, Adam Wendoloski, and Ashlea Zantene. The delegation won the Honorable Mention Award for overall performance.

Students participating in the Joint Defense Council, Adam Wendoloski and Robert Nixon, won an Honorable Mention Award while the Palestinian Affairs Council represented by Robert Compton won an Outstanding Delegate Award.
