Susquehanna River Artists return to campus

BLOOMSBURG—Local artists are highlighting the beauty of the Susquehanna River Valley as part of an exhibit in Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania’s Haas Center for the Arts through Nov. 26. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

Members of the Susquehanna River Artists featured in the exhibit include: Robert H. Brown, Glen Klein, Bill Whitmoyer, Heidi Brandt, Dave Ashby, Pam Thomas, Annie Barnhardt, Abigail Kurecian, Gail Fox, Susan Fulginiti, Sara Mika, Larry Ney and Sara Baker.

Many of the featured artists participated in the collaborative, mixed-media installation, “Confluence,” which is on display in the lower lobby of Haas Center. The piece comprises 18 individual tiles that depict the visual wealth of the Susquehanna River Valley.

The Susquehanna River Arts exhibit is sponsored by the Columbia-Montour Visitor’s Bureau and is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays and noon to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
