Bloomsburg University students debut production of ‘Almost Maine’
BLOOMSBURG — Bloomsburg University Players are debuting their production of the romantic comedy, “Almost, Maine.” The play will run from Wednesday, Sept. 22, to Sunday, Sept. 26, at 7:30 p.m. including a Sunday matinee at 3 p.m. All performances will be held in Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania’s Theatre Lab, located in room 101 of the University Book Store building. Tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for senior citizens and non-BU students and free with a BU student ID.
The romantic comedy is a story about eight couples in the fictional town of Almost, Maine. While the northern lights hover above in the star-filled sky, the characters find themselves falling in and out of love.
The production is co-directed by senior students Rick Nazzaro, Dee Kremer and Kaitlyn Ide, along with Bruce Candlish, associate professor, and Julie Petry, assistant professor. The cast includes 17 student actors: Jonathan Woll, Tara Clemens, Daniel Clark, Ashley Abrams, April Norris, Gabriella Russo, Tyler Simons, Rachel Delvecchio, Natasha Willis, Andrew Borowiec, Megan Young, Destiny Deater, Courtney Costello, Shane Nesmith, Greg Hoagland, Phil Czekner and Robert Pellichio.
