Clickard Consortium to perform at BU

BLOOMSBURG —The Clickard Consortium, a jazz tentet, will perform at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania on Wednesday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m. in Gross Auditorium, Carver Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
The ensemble, founded BU music professor Stephen Clickard, consists of ten members and will perform music written for the "little big band" format. Group members include: Clickard, trumpet, leader; Brian Leslie, trumpet; Todd Hunter, trombone; Ryan Curchoe, alto saxophone; Dick Adams - tenor saxophone; Michael Pryor, baritone saxophone; Steve Adams, piano; Chris Wheeland, bass; Todd Egger, drums; and Tim Breon, guitar.
Clickard is the chairperson of the BU music department and directs the Jazz Ensemble and Audio Recording Program. He is also the faculty advisor for the Zeta Alpha chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, the national honorary band fraternity and is president-elect of the International Association for Jazz Education’s Pennsylvania Unit. He earned his doctorate degree in wind conducting from the University of Washington. For more information about the program, contact the BU music department at 389-4284.
