Bloomsburg University hosts ARAMARK Campus Services eastern region 2005 training summit

BLOOMSBURG—ARAMARK managers, representing more than 50 college and university campuses are meeting at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania to participate in the eastern region’s annual training summit today through Thursday, June 9. The training summit offers managers the opportunity to attend more than 20 sessions focusing on professional development, leadership skills and industry trends.
ARAMARK Corp. is a leader in providing food and facilities management services to health care institutions, universities and school districts, stadiums and arenas, international and domestic corporations, as well as providing uniform and career apparel. Headquartered in Philadelphia, ARAMARK has approximately 242,500 employees serving clients in 20 countries, including dining service employees at Bloomsburg University.
Bloomsburg University was selected to host the event because of its innovative dining services, convenient location, lodging facilities, sufficient meeting space and modern technology. Most of the managers attending the training will stay on campus in the Mount Olympus Apartments. Staying on campus will give the managers the opportunity to experience a day in the life of a Bloomsburg University student.
On the evening of June 8, training summit attendees will attend a rewards and recognition banquet to celebrate the accomplishments of their colleagues.
Bloomsburg University is one of 14 universities in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. The university serves approximately 8,000 students and offers 65 bachelor’s, 17 master’s and one doctoral degree.
