Complete International Undergraduate Application, which allows you to apply as an international student.

An application fee of $60 is required for international applicants. This should be a money order or cashier’s check in U.S. dollars made payable to Bloomsburg University, with applicants name. The application will not be processed until the application fee is received.

The completed application and application fee should be mailed to:

      Bloomsburg University Admissions Office
      104 Student Services Center

    2. Submit These Additional Documents

      1. An Official English Language Test (TOEFL or IELTS)

This is required for all students whose native language is not English.

        1. TOEFL Test: BU requires a minimum score of 500 (paper-based TOEFL), 173 (CBTOEFL), or 65 (Internet-based TOEFL). For information about the TOEFL, please visit the TOEFL website or write to TOEFL Educational Testing Service, 660 Rosedale Road, Princeton, NJ 08541, U.S.A.
        2. IELTS Test: BU requires a 6 IELTS score. See the International English Language Testing System website for test centers.

      2. Official Transcripts

Official transcripts from a high school or other secondary school in English are required and must have the official seal of the institution.

Transfer Students must submit official college or university transcripts in English and also have them evaluated by an outside evaluation service such as WES (World Education Services website).

Before you apply, please note that WES does charge a fee in order to process your information. It is the student’s responsibility to pay for the service provided by the evaluation agency. Applications will not be considered without these credentials. We recommend that you begin the process as soon as possible to ensure that your materials can be received, evaluated, and forwarded to BU in a timely manner. BU cannot forward any transcripts to WES, so please make sure you follow the appropriate protocol in order to expedite your application in the most cost-efficient way possible. Information about WES and its services is available on the World Education Services website.

If you wish to transfer credits from another college or university in the United States, make sure to indicate that you are a Transfer Student on the application, and have your official college transcripts sent to Bloomsburg University Admissions Office as indicated above. You will receive an evaluation of your credits.

      3. Foreign Student Financial Statement

All international undergraduate students are required to submit a Certified Bank Statement in English and converted to US Dollars verifying they have a minimum of $32,696 US. This amount will cover the cost of two semesters at Bloomsburg University. If a sponsor is someone other than a parent, the sponsor's bank statement must meet the above requirements and include the name of the student being sponsored.

Certificates of eligibility for a student visa will be issued upon receipt of payment of the advanced deposits. The certificate of eligibility is issued by the Bloomsburg University Director of International Education.

Bloomsburg University requires all students to have appropriate accident and health insurance coverage.
