Through Student Affairs and the Office of the Dean of Students, Bloomsburg University's Office of International Education Services (IES) is committed to providing all students, domestic and international, with opportunities to actively participate and expand their global awareness through various cultural and diversity themed programs and activities. With specific programs designed to assist international students meet their responsibilities on campus, numerous opportunities are available for student engagement with both campus and community members.

IES sponsors diversity activities that provide opportunities for international students to be exposed to US society cultures, norms and values — in return — those students share their culture with US citizens in the campus and the surrounding communities.

IES can also assist international students by providing resources and referrals as to how to cope with the social, personal and academics challenges while living and learning in an unfamiliar cultural environment.
International students, US students, permanent residents, foreign born faculty and staff and individuals who identify as part of multicultural, multi-ethnic world citizens are our international community. Every efforts to enhance educational opportunities and to promote diversity activities including the professional development of all BU students are undertaken by IES.

IES promotes intercultural exchanges throughout our campus and local communities by organizing and hosting popular diversity activities.
