Bloomsburg is seeking a seasoned and strategic financial leader to become the Vice President for Administration and Finance (VPAF). Reporting to the President and serving as a key member of the Executive Staff, the VPAF serves as the chief steward of the University’s physical and financial resources. The VPAF oversees six direct reports and an overall staff of approximately 220 with responsibility for the budget office, finance and business services, procurement and operations, facilities management and planning, police and public safety, human resources and labor relations, financial aid and right to know. The VPAF also oversees the management of the University’s operating budget of $196 million (Educational and General, Auxiliary, and Restricted combined).
The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful senior leadership in finance and administration, and demonstrated accomplishment developing and attaining strategic goals and objectives, preferably in higher education or a similarly complex organizational setting. The VPAF will be a superb communicator with exceptional analytical skills who works proactively with colleagues in a spirit of partnership, transparency, and fiscal responsibility. The Vice President will understand and respect shared governance and be an advocate for an environment that promotes inclusive decision-making, best practices, student success, and a sense of community across the University. The demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations is preferred, as is an MBA, CPA, or other relevant advanced degree.
