Department of Nursing

The Department of Nursing at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania is seeking applicants for an ongoing pool of candidates for instructor positions at Bloomsburg University. Primary responsibilities: Teach graduate/undergraduate courses in both the clinical and didactic components in our accredited BSN/MSN program.


Eligibility for Pennsylvania R.N. licensure; advanced practice certification, if applicable. Candidates with doctorates in nursing or related field are encouraged to apply.

Graduate (clinical/didactic) and Undergraduate (didactic):

Minimum MSN or graduate degree in pertinent subject area; expertise in area of instruction.

Undergraduate (clinical only):

MSN preferred, minimum BSN; clinical experience in specialty area; BSN applicants must have plan for continuing graduate education.

In addition, all finalists must (a) communicate well; (b) successfully complete an interview process; (c) demonstrate the ability to work with diverse populations; and (d) (didactic only) successfully complete a teaching demonstration as judged by the department faculty. Recommendation for hiring is needed by the majority of the regular, full-time department faculty.

Submit an application packet which must include a cover letter, description of candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the position, current vitae, undergraduate and graduate unofficial transcripts, copy of RN Licensure for State Board of Nursing approval, and three letters of reference postmarked by November 1, 2014 to:
