The Department of Instructional Technology at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania which has an MS program in Instructional Technology and a BAS program in Technical Leadership is seeking applicants for an ongoing pool of candidates for temporary instructor positions. Primary responsibilities: Teach graduate/undergraduate courses in instructional design, instructional authoring, and leadership skills in both programs. We are seekndidates with proven teaching skills and abilities. The pool offers opportunities to teaing cach both online and face-to-face courses on Bloomsburg University’s main campus as well as at partner school locations including Harrisburg, Reading, the Lehigh Valley area and Philadelphia.
All positions require a demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations. Also, preferred qualifications include: experience teaching both online and face-to-face courses; experience teaching college level courses.
Specific qualifications for teaching positions in two areas:
For Instructional Technology courses (in MS and BAS programs):
Required: Master’s degree in Instructional Technology or related field.
Preferred qualifications: experience in a training setting or K-12 education; practical instructional design skills; and practical technology skills with web design, multimedia, authoring software, instructional design, online collaboration, research, game design, eLearning, LMS, learning analytics, K-12 technologies.
For Technical Leadership courses (in BAS Program):
Required: Master’s degree in Leadership or related field.
Preferred qualifications: experience working with and leading teams and/or virtual teams, project management experience; practical technology skills with project management and virtual team tools.

Temporary pool applicants’ credentials will be kept on file for 24 months. Review of complete applications will begin as temporary positions become available. Finalist(s) for this position must communicate well and successfully complete an interview process. Recommendation for hiring is needed form a majority of the regular, full-time department faculty. Completion of this search is contingent upon available funding.
