Temporary Faculty Pool

The Business Education and Information and Technology Management Department of Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania seeks to build a pool of part-time instructors who may be called upon from time to time. This pool will be active during the period March 31, 2012 through March 31, 2014.

The pool members must hold a Master’s Degree, Ph.D. or JD in the appropriate field from (at minimum) a regionally accredited institution. Completion of scholarly activities, including refereed journal articles and professional certifications is desirable.

Courses to be taught may include but are not limited to the following:
Undergraduate courses: Introduction to Business, Business Communication, Training and Development, Introduction to Information Technology, Information and Technology Management Applications, Project Management, Telecommunications, Information and Technology Management, University Seminar.

Prior to final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit a background clearance including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification and criminal background check. Completion of these searches is contingent upon available funding.

Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations preferred. Finalists must communicate well and successfully complete an interview process and/or teaching demonstration as judged by the department faculty. Recommendation for hiring is needed by the majority of the regular, full-time department faculty.
