Department of Management and Marketing

Department of Management and Marketing: is seeking three faculty members at Assistant/Associate Professor (AA#s97-2-125, 97-2-126,97-2-127) to teach a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate Marketing courses, including marketing research, advertising, consumer and buyer behavior, sales, marketing management, and e-commerce among others. Interested individuals should possess proficiency in teaching.

Academic requirements include an earned PhD in business or related field from an accredited institution: ABD candidates with degree completion date by Dec. 31, 2013 will be considered. Qualifications to teaching effectiveness in Marketing courses and record of scholarly activity are required. Scholarly activity, student advisement, and service are integral parts of this faculty position. Related business experience is desirable. Instructional delivery can occur through on-line, traditional, and alternative instructional methods and can occur on main campus or off site educational locations. Voluntary summer contracts may be available.

Finalist(s) for this position must successfully complete an interview process and a teaching demonstration as judged by the faculty. Recommendation for hiring is needed from a majority of the regular full-time faculty within the department. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations is preferred. Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check.

Bloomsburg University is located in beautiful North Central Pennsylvania approximately 50 miles Southwest of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area and 30 miles West of the Pocono Mountains. There are 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students in four colleges: Business, Education, Liberal Arts, and Science and Technology. The College of Business is accredited by AACSB.
