The Department of Educational Studies and Secondary Education at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania is seeking applicants for a permanent, tenure-track faculty position whose primary teaching responsibilities will include graduate-level courses in the principal and supervisory certification programs.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities may include teaching and/or supervising in other relevant areas which support the graduate and undergraduate programs. Expectations of this position include continued scholarship and service. Instructional delivery can occur during the regular semesters as well as summer courses and through online, traditional, and alternative instructional methods.

Qualifications/Experience:
Earned Ph.D. or Ed. D. in Educational Leadership or related field from an accredited institution required by August 19, 2013 with a strong academic background. A minimum of 3 years administrative experience as a K-12 principal, assistant principal, and/or central office administrator is required. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations is required. Recent (in the last 5years) administrative leadership experience is preferred. University professional experience in teaching graduate level courses in an accredited educational leadership program is preferred. Evidence of scholarly activity is preferred. Evidence of current professional development activities is preferred. Documented ability to use technology in teaching is preferred.
All finalists must:communicate well and successfully complete an interview process and/or teaching demonstration, as judged by the department faculty. Recommendation for hiring is needed from a majority of the regular full-time faculty within the department.
