The Department of History at Bloomsburg University sponsors two student organizations. Our local chapter of the national history honor society (Phi Alpha Theta) and our History Club meet together regularly and sponsor a variety of events.
The History Club and Phi Alpha Theta at Bloomsburg University participate in a variety of activities. In the fall, the students take on the History Department faculty members in a softball game. The club hosts trips to various places in the area, as well as cooks meals once or twice a semester at the Danville branch of the Ronald McDonald House. There is also a History Club/Phi Alpha Theta banquet every year during the spring semester to recognize the group and other students’ achievements.
History Club and Phi Alpha Theta meetings are a great place to meet with people who share a common love for history. Everyone is welcome - even non-History majors! We are always looking for different ideas about how to make the History Club and Phi Alpha Theta better!
