Recruitment can be a fun time for one and all. To ensure that it’s a truly amazing and memorable time, go into Recruitment Week with an open mind. If you have any questions stop by the recruitment table at the Kehr Union Building or at the Greek Life Office in KUB 349.

What will I get out of Greek Life?

Coming to college is one of the major life changes that your student will go through. Joining a fraternity or sorority can help make the transition easier. Developing life-long friendships with the members in their chapter helps make the campus smaller and more manageable.

For many members, these chapters become there home away from home. In addition to the brotherhood/sisterhood, every chapter promotes the values of enhancing leadership, service scholarship, philanthropy/service and financial responsibility in their members.

To sign-up for all recruitment events please fill out this form and bring it to the Office of Greek Affairs, 348 Kehr Union Building. Women have an additional step for spring recruitment, once you are approved you will receive an e-mail to complete your application on CampusDirector. Please keep in mind some dates may shift due to weather concerns. To receive the most up to date information please join our Facebook or Twitter.

Informal Fall Recruitment

Our informal recruitment is conducted in the fall for organizations which have space in their chapter for new members. National Panhellenic Council has adopted a new policy for Informal Recruitment. This policy is now used on every college campus when chapters participate in informal recruitment. It is NPC’s intent that this new policy will help organizations fill to capacity and ensures every chapter can succeed. This semester, because of the new NPC rules, some chapters cannot participate in recruitment and others have chosen to wait until the spring recruitment.

Delta Epsilon Beta will provide Continuous Open Bidding (COB) events to offer interested upperclass women an opportunity to join their chapter. Formal Recruitment will begin on February 2nd and interested students must have a minimum of 12 completed credits and a 2.5 GPA. Later in the fall additional information will be provided at events to provide interested students time to discuss the benefits of Greek Membership. Check out Huskysync for those upcoming events.

Recruitment Recommendations:

  • Attend a Fall COB event. This is a great way to meet members of the Greek community. Check out the schedule below

  • Attend service projects sponsored by chapters. This is a great way to find out about what chapters support and how as a member you will be helping out the community.

  • Attend information sessions later in the fall for preparation for Spring Recruitment
