This four-hour course takes an inside look at money issues that people age 65 and older face. Discussion will be based on a hypothetical question, "What if you live to be 100 years old?" Topics include: Social Security, working, annuities, life insurance, investing, reverse mortgages, and the Pennsylvania Inheritance Tax law. The PA Insurance Department has approved this course for 4 continuing education units.

Annuities and Mutual Funds (P544A)
Take an in-depth look into fixed, indexed, and variable annuities and the inner workings of mutual funds. We'll examine 12-1 expenses, management style, fund portfolio, share pricing, and more. Discussion will include where and when to use these financial tools. This course is approved by the PA Insurance Department for 4 continuing education units.

Long Term Care Seminar (P947A)
This 8-hour course focuses on Long Term Care, including history and emerging trends and developments. Topics include insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA; how demographics and the aging of American citizens dictate the future of long term care; government response to the aging trend and long term care needs; costs; levels of care; daily activities; where care can be given (at home, with relatives, in a nursing home, etc.); and the duties and services of a geriatric care manager. We'll review a long term care application and premium rating, and examine a long term care insurance policy. The PA Insurance Department has approved this course for 8 continuing education units. Light morning refreshments and lunch are included and will be catered on-site.
