Mission

BU's Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology, within the College of Science and Technology, prepares highly trained and competent entry level professionals who meet all requirements for certification and licensure in their respective professions, ready to contribute to a dynamic global work force.

This mission of excellence in preparation is supported by an undergraduate program that provides core knowledge and preprofessional skills. A blend of academic, clinical and research experiences help our graduates to meet the continually changing demands of the professions.

Partnerships and affiliations provide diverse clinical experiences, allowing students to expand the breadth and depth of knowledge acquired through academic instruction, while helping to meet the health care needs of the community.

Strategic Plan

The mission of our graduate programs in audiology and speech-language pathology is to provide quality academic and clinical education, and prepare entry-level professionals to ensure independent practice and competent delivery of clinical services to the public.
