Fedor-Michaels, a 1987 and 1988 alumna, joined the University Advancement team in May 2006. With 20-plus years in higher education at BU, she brings a wealth of institutional knowledge and experience to her position in alumni affairs.
Prior to joining advancement, Fedor-Michaels served in Student Affairs as assistant director of admissions, coordinator of new student orientation, assistant director of residence life for staff selection and training, and residence director. In recognition of her personal and professional commitment to diversity, Fedor-Michaels received the university’s Martin Luther King Jr. humanitarian service award in 2005.
As alumni director, Fedor-Michaels manages all aspects of alumni relations including alumni events, reunions, homecoming, alumni weekend, young alumni and student programs, regional alumni chapters, alumni volunteers, alumni travel, affinity programs and the alumni online community, The Husky Pack. She also serves as the executive director of the Alumni Association board of directors. Building relationships which enhance support for her alma mater is her daily priority.
Fedor-Michaels, who earned a bachelor's of science degree in elementary education and holds a master's degree in education from BU, resides in Bloomsburg with her husband, Frank Michaels, and their Siberian husky mix, Gloria. Reading, studying history and travel are among her hobbies. She currently serves on the Columbia Montour Women's Center board of directors and volunteers in the Bloomsburg community.
