Advanced College Experience (ACE Program)

Get a head-start on your college career through Bloomsburg's ACE (Advanced College Experience) Program for high school students.

ACE Program

  • Courses on the BU campus during the academic year for advanced students with school district approval.
  • Students may take up to 12 credits per semester. Summer and Winter Session courses, up to 6 credits in each session.
  • College-level courses during the academic year at a high school in areas where the district does not have an AP course available.
  • An opportunity to earn credits that may apply toward a bachelor's degree as well as have the potential to be used as dual enrollment credits for high school graduation requirements.
  • An opportunity to explore potential college majors.
  • A maturing experience in a superior academic environment.
  • A resume-building activity that will make college applications more competitive. An opportunity to expand their education in areas where their high school does not have advanced placement classes.
  • An opportunity to reduce the total cost of a college education by taking university courses with reduced tuition.
    • 75 percent off the residential tuition and fee rates for classes offered at the BU campus on a space-available basis. All regularly charged fees will apply.
    • 50 percent off the residential tuition and fee rates for courses offered at a school district site. Only off-campus fees apply

  • Submit an online application.
  • Submit official high school transcript and letter of recommendation from the student's high school guidance counselor.
  • Check available courses.
  • Students schedule their courses with the ACE Program Director.

  • Yes. Bloomsburg University offers the option to make tuition payments on a monthly basis through your MyHusky account. More information.

What is FERPA?

  • The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records, both financial and academic. For the student’s protection, FERPA limits release of student record information without the student’s explicit written consent; however, it also gives the student’s parent(s)/guardian(s) the right to review those records if the parent(s)/guardian(s) claim the student as a dependent on their Federal Income Tax Return. Can I get a copy of my class schedule?

  • Class schedules can be found on the Student Center on MyHusky.

How do I obtain a parking decal/register my vehicle?

  • Student can obtain a parking decal by finding information on our parking information page. Parking decal cost and shipping are paid for at the time of purchase. A decal must be purchased each semester. Failure to purchase a decal may result in parking fines.
